retail partners talking too! Born as a DTC brand, Built is expanding rapidly across the U.S. with

distribution in Walmart, Sam’s, and Costco to name just a few.

We are expanding our sales team to add an individual focused on the Western region of the U.S.,

with an emphasis on Grocery and experience in Natural and Alternative channels. In this role, you’ll

be accountable for growing distribution as well as maximizing existing account relationships. You will

report to one of our two Vice Presidents of Sales.

The Role – Duties & Responsibilities

As a Regional Account Manager – West, you will focus on growing our business with grocers such as

Associated Foods, Harmons, Gelson’s, Smart & Final, WinCo, Save Mart with headquarters locations

west of Colorado and New Mexico. Additionally, you will lead our efforts to penetrate the Natural

channel led by customers like Sprouts and Whole Foods Market.

• Actively manage and grow our business at our direct accounts through regular

merchant interaction, solid promotion and business planning, assortment and

merchandising improvements.

• Lead and manage your broker network for maximum performance in distribution gains,

promotional effectiveness and efficiency, assortment and merchandising.

• Collaborate with in-house insights team to create compelling, fact-based sales

presentations that effectively position Built to attain and hold new distribution.

• Collaborate with Dir-Marketplaces to ensure customers’ owned marketplaces are

optimized and growing.

• Where appropriate, develop joint business plans that include merchandising and

shopper plans that grow Built’s market share and category growth.

• Leverage analytical tools to perform robust account analysis and be able to take action

on insights you uncover.

The Skills – The Ideal Candidate

You should have 5+ years of selling experience in CPG, preferably food, including both direct and

brokered selling. You must be comfortable drawing insights from data and be able to craft a

narrative to support our brand’s initiatives. You will be a self-starter with demonstrated achievements

in a fast-growth environment.

• Proven track record of growing distribution and dollar sales at 30%+ while managing

trade spend

• Experience selling to Western Grocer accounts required, preference for those with

experience in Natural as well

• Very strong presentation and communication skills, including PPT

• Intensely goal and KPI-driven, creative problem solver

• Track record of taking initiative in ambiguity

• Excellent organization skills• At least 3 years of experience managing brokers with examples of improving their

effectiveness

• Solid skills in Nielsen, IRI, SPINS or other similar syndicated data. Experience with panel

data such as Numerator is a plus.

• Experience with KeHE and UNFI

• Bachelor’s degree required

Built is headquartered in American Fork, Utah. We are open to candidates who wish to work in-office

or those who prefer to work remote. Candidates must be based in Colorado, Arizona, Utah,

California, Oregon, Idaho, or Washington.

Pay will be a base salary DOE, and commissions and/or bonuses will be based on KPI’s.
